Distribution . This species is widespreaded in the winter rainfall area of South Africa. Few records exist from the south-western area of Namibia to Stellenbosch (Western Cape).

Diagnose. La femelle diffère de celle de P. virungae par la présence de franges pubescentes sur la marge apicale des tergites, le tergite 1 ponctué, la tête plus courte (L/l : 0,96), le calcar armé de 4 dents au lieu de 6, le corps plus trapu. Le mâle est encore inconnu.
